Annually from 2019 on, the Maine Diner has held a fundraiser for the Cure Sanfilippo Foundation.

From curesanfilippofoundation.org on the Maine Diner’s Cure Sanfilippo Fundraiser:

“In honor of Spencer Smith who has Sanfilippo Syndrome, Maine Diner is hosting its second annual fundraiser benefiting Cure Sanfilippo Foundation on Jan. 28, 2020, on National Blueberry Pancake Day.

Maine Diner in Wells, ME, is a local treasure known for “World Famous Food Like Grandma Used to Make.” Last year’s pancake fundraiser raised more than $5,000 for Cure Sanfilippo Foundation, and they hope to surpass that this year.

“We are so grateful for the generosity and support from everyone that is helping us get closer to a treatment or cure for Spencer and the other children with this cruel disease,” said Spencer’s parents Alli and Nate.

Maine Diner has been a local fixture for decades and has served more than seven million customers and has been featured by the Phantom Gourmet, “The Today Show,” and Food Network’s “Diners Drive-Ins, and Dives” with Guy Fieri.”

The third annual fundraiser will be held January 28th, 2021. Mark your calendars!
